Columbia Law School statue“What the engineers are doing for machines, we must do for the law.”
—Conference International De Droit Prive Aerien, 4-12 Octobre 1929, Varsovie 17 (1930)

The Program on Law & Technology at Columbia Law School was founded to publicize research on the legal problems created by technological innovation, and to design and disseminate technologies that might serve the public’s interest in law and legal change.

The program has three goals: The dissemination of the academic work of Columbia faculty, dissemination of information and analysis on current events, and the authorship of technological projects.

Note to visitors: The Program on Law & Technology supports faculty research projects. Our faculty members teach courses within Columbia Law School, but the Program on Law & Technology does not accept students directly. If you are interested in applying to law school, please visit the Columbia Law School home page.
